Composition
Foreground, Background, Middleground
Composition describes placement of relative objects and elements in a work of art. It allows the artist to arrange and manipulate the elements within their work to meet their goal of the piece. Elements such as the foreground, or parts of the image that are closest to the camera, the background, or the parts that are further away, and the middle-ground, or the space in between are important because they provide perspective and adds dimension to a flat physical image.
