About Marwa
Marwa is an aspiring photographer on Chicago's Northside who enjoys capturing elements of nature in her art. After years of watching her mother, a once professional photographer take and edit photos to fit her clients needs as a career, she was introduced to the possibility that she could take up aa career doing what she loved as well. So she took up an art that she'd once admired from a distance, ignoring her doubts that she wouldn't be as good as everyone else: Photography.
Her main inspiration when it comes to taking photos is the world around her. While many have a song they may listen to, or a hobby to clear their head for inspiration, Marwa waits for inspiration to come to her; allowing the environment to influence the style of her photos. Photography has always been a way to escape how one usually sees something and view it in a way it hasn't been viewed before. She enjoy the fact that with the simple change of angle or lighting, something as little as scrap can be made beautiful. Often times, we let the world pass us by without allowing ourselves to see the beauty of it because “it’s just any other day,” but when you can take something ordinary, and capture it as something extraordinary, then you have the opportunity to see the world differently. And that's something she hopes to capture through her work.
